Everyone eats out from time to time especially if you are out running errands and that pang of hunger strikes. Don't pass up miniature dishes that could be right under your nose! CDHM the miniature way imag, found objects to make a Thanksgiving cake platter for dollhouse miniatures

Next time you take a drink at your favorite fast food restaurant, look at the plastic top. Do you see stars, flowers, swirls or plain round bubbles marking what type of drink you ordered? There are so many different shapes, sizes and colors of these plastic toppers.

Cutting these shapes out then filing the edges after cutting them will create a smooth, even edge. Small decorated punches will even work if the slot is tall enough to pass the bubble through. Here again, paint and embellishments will enable you to create unique pieces as simple or elaborate as you want.

I made a footed candy dish out of a starburst bubble and rimmed it with clear seed beads.

Many bowls, lids, candle holders, ornaments and even light covers for smaller scales are waiting to be found at your local restaurant. So have fun looking for your next special piece!
