This wonderful vase was fashioned from a piece of Box Elder Burl that was dyed a blue-green color. The areas of the wood that didn't take the dye retained their natural blonde color. The neck of the vase is made from Cocobolo, and adds some nice contrast. Polished to a shiny, flawless finish.

This cute little vase was made from a piece of naturally shed Elk Antler. The antler interior is very porous, so I inlayed genuine crushed Lapis Lazuli there. What a pretty effect! It's even hollowed out! Pictured next to the end of a toothpick! Polished to a shiny, flawless finish.

Here's an eye-catching vase made from a piece of Fire & Smoke Acrylic. The pearlescent, smoky-gray background has all sorts of depth as you turn it in the light. This pretty vase was made from a piece of Tortoise Shell Decora, with a neck and shoulder made from Midnight Pearl Decora. Decora is a type of plastic made in Italy, but hasn't been manufactured for many years now. The pictures don't show the pearly depth of the dark neck as you turn it in the light. Here's a wonderful vase made from a piece of Birdseye Maple, which was recovered from the depths of Lake Superior. The tree that provided this wood was cut over 100 years ago (and was probably several hundred years old at the time!) and sunk on the way to the mill. The grain is wonderful, and the wood shimmers as you turn it in the light. The rim is fashioned from a piece of Gabon Ebony, and adds some nice contrast.
