Sculpted in 2007, this is my annual Green Woman doll that I sculpt each Earth Day in celebration. The Green Woman was created with polymer clay. Her hair employs many kinds of fibers and tiny dried flowers. She would be 8 inches tall if standing.

This is my 2008 annual Green Woman. She nearly ended up being trashed as her clay was filthy and I ended up hating her pose. This was a piece I began at the Arts Walk in June in Bethlehem PA. Local businesses had artists in front of their stores creating work while passers by watched. I was unprepared for the amount of filth that got on the clay from that. but I managed to scrape most of it out. At first she was going to be a musician playing the fiddle on a mushroom. After her scraping that seemed like not the best thing. Then she was going o just be boring, put on some silk and flowers and be done, I was about to chuck her and start on something I wanted to do when I suddenly saw her as a Green Woman. I have ended up liking how she turned out.

Ederne is Basque for "beautiful". I grew a bit tired of seeing mermaids with the usual standard run of the mill fishy tail fin. So I experimented with various alternate mermaids. Ederne is based on an eel tail.
She relaxes on the dock stretching lazily in the sun.
She has hand dyed Tibetan mohair locks. She is an original miniature piece of art hand sculpted by me. She took well over 20 hours to create. Her minimal costume is made of vintage brass and Swarovski crystal. Ederne would be about 7 inches tall if standing.
Shipping is a flat rate, included in the shipping cost is delivery confirmation, insurance, and a whole lot of packing.
Aisy is another one of my unusual mermaids. Like her friend Ederne her fishy tail is based on an entirely different kind of fish than the more common mermaids. She is a sea anemone mermaid. I envision her quietly drifting in a coral reef somewhere, chatting with the clown fish.
Aisy stands 7.25 inches in height and was entirely hand sculpted by me out of polymer clay. She has hand dyed Tibetan mohair locks. She took well over 25 hours to complete in 2007.
Shipping for Aisy includes delivery conformation and insurance. She will be packed with enough poly fil to stuff several teddy bears.
Fleeing the unwanted advances of Apollo, the nymph Daphne pleaded to her father Penios the River God to save her. He heard her pleas and transfromed her into a laurel tree.This is my favorite piece. Daphne was sculptd over a piece of driftwood. Her sculpted parts are polymer clay. A couple hundred antique brass leaves are wired onto the driftwood.

Based on the stories of Siegfried and the Rhinegold. The Rhinemaiden was hand sculpted in polymer clay over a wire armature. She was sold in 2006. The Rhinemaiden stands 8 inches in height.
This pair was completed in April of 2008. Both Mephisto and his sad fairy friend were hand sculpted in polymer clay over a wire armature. they were sculpted as an illustration of a song, the March of Mephisto by Kamelot.

My friend thinks she is related to Smurfs. She is actually way too tall at 13 inches. The Snow Queen is a poseable doll. SHe was handsculpted by me in 2007 out of polymer clay. SHe has a soft-sculpted body.
