Handcrafted Dollhouse Kitchen Utility Cupboard in 1:12 Scale

Doll house RHode Island Corner Cupboard handcrafted in 1:12 Scale
This corner cupboard is a copy of an original from Rhode Island Estate in New Port. The upper doors were to keep dust off their fine valuables when they were not entertaining. When guests were dining the cupboard doors would then be opened to show off their wares. I personally love the corner cupboard. I love to collect small items to go into them.

The Settle goes back as early as the Jacobean period. The settle bench was built with a high back and usually wing arms and sometimes a canopy overhead and long enough to accomodate three or four sitters. Their construction was made to keep out the draught. They were usually placed near the fire in the kitchen or in their hall. Settle benches were still used until the mid to late 19th century.
