9 Light Window Corner Cupboard
I love a corner cupboard, because utilizes wasted space and also because I can buy more minis to display in it. Milk paint was used on this cupboard. Milk paint is mixed special for doing minis. The paint ages the wood naturally and gives it a beautiful patina.

Handcrafted Dollhouse Secretaire or Secretary in 1:12 Scale
The origin of the secretary desk is a portable station for a roving clerk to carry his utensils, but (because the clerk position is mostly outdated, and most briefcases perform the function now) the secretary desk is more like what used to be called a davenport. a desk with a hinged lid that opens outwards for writing space.

Apothecaries originated in China and were used here in the colonies til the 19th Century. They were widely used to keep herbs and medince in. The apothecaries were kept and used in stores to sell medicinal needs to the public, physicians and surgeons. This cupboard originated from Glastonbury, CT This cupboard was made from walnut.

Hand crafted 1:12 scale dollhouse Diminutive Cupboard Circa 1840-1860
A diminutive cupboard is simply a two part cupboard. Sometimes they are attached as one piece This cupboard is very versatile as it can be used as a chest of drawers and a curio cabinet. It does not necessarily have to go in a dining room or kitchen. I can see this cupboard in a little girl's bedroom displaying her dolls in the cabinet.

Sold at auction in Hillsboro Virginia. Circa 1830 - 1840 Milk paint is hand mixed and formulated to suit miniatures.
The milk paint ages the wood naturally and takes a bit longer to make but well worth it. With each cupboard I make it unique no 2 are a like.
