NEW CARVINGS & TURNINGS FLORIDA SHOWS

Linda Master, Artistry Set In Stone

CDHM Tidbits dollhouse miniature news Linda Master (miracle chicken) has taken her skills to the next level and has started carving limestone and soapstone animals. All are created in 1:24th scale and to give you an example of how small Linda's tiny carvings are, any one of them could easily sit on your thumbnail!

Fiona Bateman, Turnings In Brass

CDHM Tidbits dollhouse miniature news Fiona has turned her lathe work to brass. So far Fiona has turned brass vases, bowls, and lids. Her next step? She says she would "like to have a go at goblets and walking sticks". Turning metal is just another skill she adds to her repertoire and she has no intention of abandoning wood or acrylic tunings.

CDHM will visit 2010 Florida Shows

CDHM staff will visit two shows in Florida during February.

The first will be the South Florida Miniatures Show & Sale in Ft. Lauderdale on the 5th of the month.

The second visit will be the Orlando Miniatures Festival on the 20th.

If you want to join us, write CDHM support and let them know you'll be there so they will not miss meeting up with you.

MINIATURIST IN THE MAKING TUTORIALS

New Members of the Family

We have several members that are expecting new babies in the next few months.

Congratulations go out to Kerry Alexander (catdog5) who is due this month
and
Angeles (angeles) who is due later in the spring.

2010 Tutorial Classes Up and Running

This year's tutorials have already begun and anyone who has attended a class will tell you that there's no better way to learn a new art or enhance your current skills than participating in an online class.

An added perk for CDHM members is the after class discussion, where class participants have an opportunity to chat one-on-one with instructors about what they've just learned, and can also share their finished work with fellow members. So check out the tutorials and sign up for one today. You won't be disappointed!
