Rummaging through Sara Alvarez-Rovira's CDHM Gallery you'll quickly discover that she has a multitude of talents besides being a professional portrait painter! Books, games and other paper related creations in 1/12 scale are made with the imagination and skill normally associated with full size books.

Residing near Barcelona Spain, Sara is a second generation artist, nurtured by a father that had a love of painting before her. When not painting or making miniatures, Sara enjoys exploring secondhand markets searching for old, antique books.

When asked how she started making miniature books, Sara say's, "one day, as I was going through things I'd inherited from my father, I came across an old leather waistcoat. It was very worn-out and shabby-looking; I tore it up and made a miniature medieval codex". From there the adventure began.
