I love charms. How sweet would it be to present a charm to a loved one on a mini tree? Or you could display a cherished charm for everyone to see in its own special place.

Most of the ornaments I used on the half scale tree shown in the photo are made from earrings.

CDHM Writer, Lu Garcia aka llamalu, finds every day found objects to create dollhouse miniatures Just like my real size Christmas tree in my house, I hung them on the edge of the branches but also tucked some inside toward the trunk to give fullness to the overall look.

Silver embroidery floss kept the tinsel in scale while clear seed beads emulate white lights.

So now that you have a starting point with your tree, what are you going to put under it?

Candy wrappers make awesome mini gift wrap. They come in all kinds of glossy sheens, foils, patterns and colors. If the outside isn't suitable, check the inside. I found a polka dot pattern inside a name brand chewing gum wrapper.
