CDHM artisan Jenny Edwards of Jendlewick Spooky and Haunted dolls in dollhouse miniature scale, 1/12 For some of us, a talk around the table while creating spell bottles or sitting with your child as you make a hutch together can create some of the best family memories ever. This is what brings our family closer together.

For one artist, Mary Pat Bonafice, it is Jack-o-lanterns that bring her daughter and herself closer together. While one creates the Jack-o-lantern the other creates the eyes as they talk about past, presence, and future events. CDHM and IGMA Artisan Diane Paone creates special mask in dollhouse miniature scale, 1/12

Could it be the smells of pumpkin spices or the cool air of fall that bring so many warm memories?

I like to think it's all about the family traditions: old ones and new ones yet to be played out.

Traditions. This single word holds so many beliefs or customs taught by one generation to the next, all designed to keep the past alive.

It's all about the memories. For some of us, tradition inspires us to create beautiful pieces of art work called miniatures to bring those memories to vivid mini life.
