CDHM artisan Pilar Calle creates handmade dolls house scale miniatures "Sometimes painting the eyes on a small doll is hard to get just right. But, I feel very happy when I finish a piece that took me many hours, and I enjoy very much, doing the work."

CDHM artisan Pilar Calle creates handmade dolls house scale miniatures Although Pilar likes summer walks on the beach, attending an occasional movie, or just relaxing while working on some counted cross stitch in her free time, she doesn't have much opportunity to enjoy such pleasantries, as almost all of her spare time is devoted to working on her miniatures.

"I would like to try to work with Fimo, but now I don't have much time," she laments.

Even after a piece is finished there's still a whirlwind of activity that follows. A whirlwind that Pilar manages to deftly maneuver through every day. There are shows, Internet sales, and special orders that keep her quite busy.

"I sell my pieces in different shows in Europe and on the Internet" she says "with a price range between US$10.00 to US$150.00."
