It started with a tweek.

No, not a squeak - although there are probably a whole lot of those once artist Amber Matthies turns the light out in her workroom and the Trollflings get to giggling - a Tweek.

"When I created my very first Trollfling, I named him Tweek. I stared at him for a good long while, I didn't quite know what it was - but all that I knew is that I loved what I created and wanted to show the entire world. Something clicked..." she began.

That something was the sweet world of the Trollflings, happy, big-eyed little creatures who bring no end of joy to collectors, and their creator.

"I also knew that I wanted to keep on going and see what would happen. Turns out everyone loves them just as much as I did way back then and still do today. To think about the thousands of Trollflings that live all around the world today, and that they started right here with me, it is a feeling beyond incredible."

Trollflings are born on a tiny worktable in Troy Ohio. She hopes to one day have her very own workshop - stocked with a coffee machine and adorned in purple carpet - but for now there is plenty of Trollfling space on the bench.
