CDHM online magazine, the miniature way small scale 144, 1/24 scale and 1:48 dollhouse miniatures All around the world, it seems everyone loves to give their mothers their own day of celebration that they so greatly deserve, no matter what month it is. From February (13th in Norway) through December (8th in Panama and 22nd in Indonesia), mothers are revered everywhere.

The custom of honoring our mothers was dedicated formally in the United States by President Woodrow Wilson on May 8, 1914. That may seem like a long time ago now, but also mothers were praised in ancient Greece and Rome. In Rome, the holiday that was known as Matronalia was dedicated to the Goddess Juno, but it was mothers who were given gifts on that day. In ancient Greece, festivals were held in mid-March for Cybele, known as the "Great Mother" of the Greek gods.
