Today it's not only the Islands, but also miniaturists around the world who are fortunate, thanks to the wonderful miniature creations of Cristina Diego, who calls the Canary Islands home.

Cristina likes to build smaller scale houses in either 1:144th or 1:48th scale. CDHM Artisan Cristina Diego creates handmade 1:12 scale flowers, plants and landscaping for the dolls house and railroad

"I like to finish them out with aged and distressed textures and add little exterior gardens."

However her specialties are the finely detailed flowers, trees and floral arrangements in 1:12 scale that rival their real life counterparts.

"I'm especially interested in plants and flowers in 1/12 scale because plants and flowers can be made with more details in that scale, but I have recently started to try my hand at half scale."
