Every year my kids participate in Read Across America on March 2nd which also happens to be Dr. Seuss©' birthday. They bring blankets, pillows and their favorite Dr. Seuss© book to school to share with their classmates. The choice is always "The Cat in the Hat©."

My favorite part of "The Cat©" is the cake (of course), especially when the Cat balances the milk, books, umbrella, boat, fish and the cake while hopping around the house on a big ball. Ever since I was a kid I thought that was pretty silly and I always wanted to know what the cake tasted like.

So for me, crazy and cakes have always seemed to go together! Some of the other CDHM food artists also feel the same way and love to have fun with food. As the Cat says "…we can have lots of good fun that is funny!"(1) I'm all for that!
