CDHM artisan Barb Naas of Stone That Flows Studios creates blown glass dolls house scale The twinkling of light, the sparkle and shine of fine glass, the sheen of polished silver and gold... It has to be the scintillating work of artisan Barb Naas, whose miniature creations must be seen to be believed.

Working in her basement studio, with her ever present muses, Miniature Pinschers Faun and Bucky at her side, Barb creates finely crafted 1/12th scale miniature glass vases, bowls, lamp work and sculptures.

But that's just the beginning.

CDHM artisan Barb Naas of Stone That Flows Studios creates blown glass dolls house scale "It depends on my mood. I enjoy making 1:12 jewelry of all types from sterling and gold filled chain and wires with semi-precious stones - all exactly to scale with handmade clasps and ear wires."

Having designed and made full-size jewelry for many years, Barb turned her creativity loose on the miniature world, finding it both satisfying and yet just the kind of challenge she loves.

"It's very challenging, but very rewarding. I create all of my mini jewelry to the same specifications of my human-sized jewelry."

It has been less than a decade since Barb once again has been drawn into the world of all things mini. She rediscovered her 'inner child' - as most miniature artists have - and then embraced it.
