One of my common upgrades is a custom painted, lit fireplace. This one was kept simple by request, but I usually hand paint all of the details to perfectly coordinate with the room. Although it appears to be built-in, I created this to be removable for replacement of the bulb in the fiery logs. Just let me know if you would like this idea in Your specially created doll house!

This is a rock wall feature that I enjoy incorporating into my designs. It can be painted to fit any decor and adds a real nice textural quality to your miniature home. Here I am showing a custom framed wall mural, that ties this wall in with the rest of the room, without being exactly the same. Let me know what kind of idea you have for your dollhouse. This fox hunt wall mural is a favorite among my clients and works fabulously as large, framed wall art as well. The Colonial chimney shade chandelier is adapted for easy plug-in and is surrounded by ceiling tile.

I custom designed the classic wainscot in this checkerboard floored kitchen. The Colonial swag lantern is another plug-in adapted fixture that really fits with the style of this particular doll house. On the right side of the picture you can see that I treaded the staircase in dark walnut to match the rest of the flooring and put in a real stair runner that coordinates nicely with both rooms on the first level.
